Our Story

A woman wearing a black Card Swag hat at a baseball stadium

The idea for Card Swag started with a wave of nostalgia that hit me the moment I stepped back into the world of trading cards.

I visited a few local card shops, grabbed some boxes, and tore through each pack the same way I did as a kid. As I opened them, I naturally set a few cards aside — the “hits” — while the rest fell into what I quickly realized was the discard pile. Great players, great artwork, iconic moments… but not the cards people chase.

It reminded me of that moment in Toy Story when Buzz Lightyear arrives and Woody suddenly becomes a nothing. These cards aren’t nothing. They’re someone’s favorite player, someone’s favorite character, someone’s childhood memory.

Every morning I walk five miles to disconnect, and that’s when my thoughts come alive. One day, I found myself wondering: What happens to all the cards people toss aside? And what happens to the cards people treasure? The valuable ones end up sealed in plastic, tucked away in a drawer, never seen by anyone. The discarded ones get tossed in the trash, shoved in a closet, or forgotten in a box in the attic.

That’s when the idea hit me — what if you could wear your favorite card? What if you could swap cards in and out of a hat, show off your favorite player at a game, or display a custom card?

Card Swag was born from that simple thought: every card deserves to be seen, and people should have the freedom to display whatever card they want — not just store it, but showcase it through fashion.

Now you can bring your cards into your everyday style. Whether it’s your favorite athlete, a character you love, or a custom card that means something to you, Card Swag lets you wear your passion and share it with the world.
